Smeceres sila Stirnu buks

At the Season Finale - Let's Meet at Smeceres Sils, Where Plains and Hills Come Together

The Stirnu buks race visited the Smeceres Sils sports complex, located just outside Madona, back in 2017! Since then, the sports complex has undergone significant changes and is on its way to achieving its primary goal – developing infrastructure that meets the standards of the Biathlon World Cup. It’s worth noting that by adapting the infrastructure for high-level competitions, Smeceres Sils would also be suitable for hosting many other sporting events.

While the sports complex undergoes visually pleasing transformations, the event participants' spirits will be lifted by the rolling hills and landscapes of the highest part of Vidzeme, which merge with the Lubāna Plain near Madona. While planning the course, Stirnu Buks didn’t quite spot the plain, but it’s surely hiding somewhere nearby!

For this stage, as usual, Stirnu buks receives generous support in course planning and event organization from Gunārs Ikaunieks, the manager of the Smeceres Sils sports complex, along with his team and the welcoming Madona municipality, which promotes an active lifestyle!
