As nights grow longer and days shorter, the Kalsnava Arboretum of Latvian State Forests invites you to the most mysterious and magical evening event of the year on October 12th – the "Witches' Broom Ball 2024".
The "Witches' Broom Ball" will celebrate its eighth year and highlight one of the arboretum's unique collections of coniferous plants, their decorative forms that have arisen from genetic mutations – the witches' brooms. The event starts at 6:00 PM, with entrance to the area available from 5:00 PM. Various activity stations will be set up throughout the event grounds: "Bright Apple" creative studio, "Pine Cone Knowledge Class," "Pumpkin Taste Laboratory," "Squirrel Challenge," "Irbe's Dazzling Smile Studio," and "Juniper Berry Market." Until 10:00 PM, you can test your knowledge, make a witchy accessory, take the most beautiful photos, get your magical tea blend, and engage in athletic challenges. Meanwhile, the main stage, "Hawthorn Parade," will feature brooms swaying to the rhythms of music master Jānis Fabrika throughout the evening, inviting the brightest "Miss Broom" and "Mr. Broom Handle" parades and surprising guests with a concert by musician IGO. Throughout the evening, the garden will have an illuminated walking path, bonfires, picnic areas, a chance to ride the "Light Mobile," and a festive market will operate. Entrance fees are 10.00 euros for adults, 5.00 euros for students (1st-12th grade), and free for children up to 7 years old. The "Witches' Broom Ball" is an event where hunters of unique sensations meet! Shall we see you there?
