Valmieras Pilsēttakas Stirnu buks

Each year, a few stages of the trail running series Stirnu buks are crafted by Takuzinis Artis Ločmelis, a true legend of Our Forest and a proud Valmiera patriot.

According to Artis: "The Gauja River is the key to Valmiera in all times and seasons. In truth, Valmiera and Gauja are one entity—their character and patterns are intertwined. The magic of the Gauja embroiders the streets of Valmiera and the trails of Stirnubuks. You cannot call yourself a true patriot of the city if the Gauja is not in your heart. For us, honor is closer than a jersey, and freedom is above all."

This stage will be particularly special, with the competition center set by the historic St. Sīmanis's Church in Valmiera!

On September 13, all roads lead to Valmiera! See you there!
